"Look at how well her children are behaving."
"Her house is so nice compared to mine."
"Wow, she has so much more energy then I do."
"I wish I had that car."
"I wish I could afford to buy shoes like that."
Jealousy is a robber. It robs me of joy. When I am jealous I may think that I am missing out but when I am focused on what I don’t have then I am not focused on what I do have. I should celebrate them instead; turning my jealousy into inspiration. If they are doing something that I want to do or have something that I want to have then I need to let it inspire me.
I choose to celebrate with others when God blesses them.
"Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep." Romans 12:4b
"Arise; shine;
for your light has come!
And the glory of the LORD is raisen upon you."
Isaiah 60:1
Jealously will no longer rob me of the joy of celebrating what God is doing in my life and the lives of others.
